I really didn’t want to post this, but it has to be done…I have no other choice.
August has been one of the hardest months on record. Because of this, we would really appreciate any orders large or small on Thursday or Friday (27th & 28th). A few big orders will help us out a ton. It will allow us to keep adding new releases for everyone each month.
If you were thinking of placing one in the next few weeks, maybe you might consider placing it soon if at all possible? I would really appreciate it.
The end of the month is especially difficult for us. This is when all the fees hit and they’re quite huge (sometimes $500-$600 in fees). All our basic expenses are as low as they can get and I live like a miser just to run this site.
Basically if we have no sales come in within the next two days I’ll need to go get a part time job for extra income. This is while I run the site. I have no other choice. This is absolutely the last thing I want to have happen. No, the site is not going anywhere EVER.
Some may think getting side work is no big deal, but running this site itself is a full time job and then some.
If I have to go get extra work i’d have to do the following:
- Set prices to $7.00 or even $8.00 with no sales ever.
- Limit updates to once per month instead of weekly.
So I definitely don’t want this to happen.
A couple orders of $200 is enough to totally avoid this scenario.
I’ve worked so hard at making this site as best as I can.
As you know, it’s a one person operation.
I manage the web server it’s hosted on, design the site and do order processing etc.
My plan for the weekend is do some marathon order processing sessions. I’m totally ready for that.
I love running this site and want to keep doing this full time if I can.
I’m really so thankful to be selling something I love. I just wish it was a bit easier at times.
I never take things for granted EVER. Sometimes it’s hard to believe i’ve seen doing this daily non-stop since 2002.
I still remember the days when I was shipping everyone VHS tapes!
Our first site (same address as this one) was one page written in Notepad on a free computer that shut off by itself every 20 minutes!
It was a Packard Bell 120mhz computer with dialup internet! Fun times.
And somehow back then we only sold bukkake movies!
This was back when internet video was definitely not a thing!
