Digital Product Troubleshooting FAQ
NOTICE: Please disable any download managers before downloading (browser add-ons).
These can make multiple connections to our server and you might accidentally go over the download limit.
If you go over the limit or are blocked, just email us! Don’t worry! The chance of being blocked is nearly impossible.
Digital download limitations:
Availability of purchased downloads: 30 days (this just means you have 30 days to complete a download).
Download limits: 50 downloads per file (not attempts).
NOTE: Please don’t copy and paste download URL links, because they are temporary and expire.
Click “Download” for every attempt to get a fresh link.
Why are the downloads in a zip file?
It’s a slight inconvenience, but this is so that browsers don’t try to stream the video instead of downloading it.
Sure you can right click links and select “Save Link As”, but this isn’t optimal for most users.
Windows, Mac OS and Linux have built in tools to extract them. We also suggest the free version of WinRar or 7zip.
In Windows Explorer just right click the file and look for an extract option.
How do I open and extract a zip file in Windows?
We suggest installing 7zip from the link above, but Windows 10 and 11 have a built in option too.
For the built in option, you can view a How to Open ZIP files Youtube tutorial.
Basically you just open Windows Explorer, find the file location and right click it and select “Extract All” or similar.
What format do they come in?
This is always mentioned on the product page. Most 720P and 480P files are in H264 MP4 format.
They are playable in nearly every current video player and is one of the most common codecs currently.
1080P files are mostly in H265 format. This is a newer codec and requires a computer made in the last 10 years to play perfectly.
They might still play on older hardware.
The H265 codec allows us to offer normally huge 1080P files in a smaller file size.
H265 can achieve a 50-60% reduction in bitrate compared to H264! This makes it pefect for 1080P movies!
It’s a really great codec!
How do I know if my computer can play H265 videos?
You can right click and select “Save Link As” on our H265 Sample Test Clip (NSFW! Softcore with only topless nudity).
If that plays perfectly, then you can view our H265 files with no problem.
NOTE: It’s best to not play it in your browser. Chrome wouldn’t play it but Firefox would. Make sure to “Save Link As” to download it.
If your computer is made in the past 10 years it should have no problem.
If you have any problems, we suggest trying with the free VLC Player (listed in the below links).
Please note that if you buy a download and your hardware can’t play it smoothly or without stuttering, we can’t offer a refund. Sorry!
We make sure they play perfectly on our end and have the highest possible video and sound quality.
If it wasn’t for the H265 format, we probably couldn’t offer 1080P files.
H264 1080P files are just way too massive. Some as huge as 8GB for 2 hours!
What are the average file sizes?
Around 3GB for 720P H264.
3-5GB for 1080P in H265 (we use CRF 20-23).
Do you offer streaming or smaller files? I only have a cell phone or a slower connection.
We do offer some 480P (Standard Definition) videos of older videos.
Most of our videos aren’t really suitable or optimal for cell phones unless you are a very advanced user.
We don’t currently offer streaming, but this might be possible in the future.
What are the system requirements to play your files?
Any PC or MAC made in the last 10 or 15 years should be fine.
We suggest VLC Player (Video Lan) or SMPlayer.
Media Player Classic HC (Home Cinema) is also OK, but very outdated.
Windows Media Player is fine too.
The videos use and require the H264 codec, which is a standard codec in nearly every operating system these days.
This is built into the above players.
Unfortunately we can’t offer any technical support for software or compatibility issues.
We test them on our end to make sure they’re OK.
For the best experience, we suggest using the Kodi app with a windows wireless remote!
It’s such a convenient and fun thing to setup and use.
You can connect your laptop to your huge TV with a cheap HDMI cable.
How do I stream your videos from my desktop to my huge TV?
Download and install Universal Media Server. It’s pretty great! You can select folders to stream.
On many streaming sticks you can install Kodi or a similar software and connect to your local PC over Wi-Fi.
Nobody from outside your Wi-Fi network will see your collection (if you were worried about that!).
You can also just install Kodi on a laptop and connect it to your TV temporarily with an HDMI cable.
Wireless Windows remotes are so great! It’s no fun to use a keyboard to pick videos.
They are under $15USD on Amazon and are such a nice purchase.
The files are too huge for my computer! Can I convert them to make them smaller?
Yes, we suggest the free Handbrake program.
With that app you could even create a version for cell phone playback.
How many download attempts do I get? Can I download it again later if I lost the files?
Please be sure to download each file immediately if possible. We allow you to re-download it for up to 30 days.
We don’t allow customers to download them years later. I wish we could.
Please be sure to make backups. We can’t be responsible if you lose your file and can’t download it again.
We allow 50 downloads (not attempts). If you go over this limit, please email us.
What is your refund policy on digital downloads?
All videos are sold as-in and we don’t offer refunds or credits of any kind on digital products.
If the video has a problem that we can’t fix, we’ll give you a credit for an alternative title.
My download is slow or it times out or fails.
Please keep trying. If the download eventually fails, you should be able to resume it.
We’ve tested the speeds on our end and we’re able to cap our internet speeds.
It’s possible the download may temporarily slow (rare) but will eventually speed up.
If your not in the USA, it may take a bit longer to download.
I was able to download a 3GB file in just 1 minute!
In no situation ever should a download ever take more than an hour.
On a 500Mbps connection the download will arrive in under 5 minutes (more like 1!).
